The Senegal Basketball Federation confirmed the sudden passing of Senegal national team center Aissatou Fall, shocking many across the Senegalese and wider African basketball circes. Fall represented Senegal at the 2023 Francophonie Games and ranked among the West African nation's most promising talents.
The Announcement of Fall's death has sent genuine shockwaves across Senegal and wider African basketball circles, prompting tributes from teammates and supporters, as well as internationally renowned content creators such as XBall Africa and ID Shooter.

Born in Pikine, Dakar, the 6'4" center developed her game and spent formative years in the US playing for Life Prep Academy in Wichita, Kansas.
That path led her into NCAA Division I competition with the nationally respected New Mexico State Aggies program. During her Aggies tenure, Fall contributed to back-to-back Western Athletic Conference regular-season championships. She also helped secure the 2018-2019 WAC Tournament title, cementing a productive collegiate chapter defined by growth and resilience.
Fall appeared in 20 games as a sophomore after limited opportunities during her freshman season. Following her time in Conference USA, she transferred to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

While studying Business Administration, Fall twice earned Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Honour Roll recognition. Her final season saw her awarded the Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award. In 2023, Fall clinched gold with Senegal at the Francophonie Games, and she recently competed for Division 1 Féminin powerhouse Jeanne d'Arc in Senegal's top-flight league.
