Greek D Basket League club, AGEH Gymnastikos Chalkida, has reached an agreement with Uganda's national team star, Jonathan Komagum, for the forthcoming 2025-26 season. The move marks the power forward's second straight stint in Europe, following his time with North Macedonian side, KK Gostivar, last season.
During his 17-game tenure with the club, the highly skilled rebounder averaged 7.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game, whilst helping the team reach the North Macedonian Cup Semifinals. Last summer, Komagum played for the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) team DNA Bima Perkasa Jogja.
Recently, Komagum, who has played for the Uganda national senior team since 2022, competed for his country in FIBA AfroBasket 2025, where he led his team in rebounding (13.0) and blocks (2.0) per game.
Following Uganda's 84-77 defeat by Egypt and subsequent exit from the tournament, Komagum expressed his pride in representing the country and his determination to work hard to return the East African nation to the top of African Basketball.
