Taipei Taishin Mars (TPBL) has inked a deal with South Sudan national team power forward Makur Maker to their roster.

The 25-year-old tipped off the 2025-26 season with Lebanon-based club Sagesse, posting 19.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game domestically and 11.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in the continent's elite West Asia Super League.

This run of form was complemented by an impressive debut campaign with the South Sudan national team in Tunisia, during Window 1 of the recent FIBA World Cup African Qualifiers. During the November games, the HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) grad averaged a respectable 10 points and 4.7 rebounds, with his best game coming against Cape Verde, where he finished with 23 points, four rebounds, one steal and one block.

Last summer, he suited up for Libyan-based powerhouse Al Ahly Tripoli and has previously played in the NBA G League for the Raptors 905 and the Capital City Go-Go.
