On the sixth day of Senegal's fiercely competitive Division 1 Feminin championship, ASC Ville de Dakar secured a commanding victory. The Dakar-based club dominated with a 70-26 win over Saint-Louis BC, led by Elisabeth Kamité's impressive 19-point performance.
AS Douane is again actively strengthening its roster in time for the start of their regular season Sahara Conference games in the 2024 Basketball Africa League.
Following the acquisition of Senegalese players Ibrahima Thomas, Jean-Jacques Boissy, and Harouna Abdoulaye, the team has secured the signatures of Michael Chukwuma Ochereobia from Nigeria, Madut Akec from South Sudan/Australia, and Adama Diakité from Senegal.
The Mali women's U23 3X3 basketball team has been placed in Pool B, competing against Madagascar, Cote d'Ivoire, and Gabon. Meanwhile, the men's team will take on Ghana, Benin, and Madagascar in their respective pool matches. The 2024 African Games basketball schedule tips off on March 18th.
The lineup for the Ligue 1 Orange, the premier national championship, has been revealed, featuring 16 teams—eight for men and eight for women.

The 17th Guinean Basketball Federation Congress is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Guinea or the Conakry Hotel, depending on availability. The event will commence at 9 am and will feature various activities to celebrate the 17th edition of the FGBB Congress.
The quadrennial event will host various guests and participants, including outgoing President Sakoba Keita, who will be stepping down permanently, along with some of the nation's prominent sporting figures.
