The 25-year-old has lived in France for the past five years. Three years ago, he entered the dunk contest and has had tremendous success. Degnan stands 1.95m tall but has an insane vertical of 1.12m (44 inches).

With this vertical, he can perform almost any dunk imaginable. Despite not being involved in the dunk contest for a long time, he has found a way to match his athleticism with his creativity. He performs jaw-dropping dunks that always leave the crowd in awe.

He began his contest a bit more modestly to build up to the final dunk. He had the crowd on their feet before his first attempt. His first dunk was a behind-the-back tomahawk, where he switched hands. He had a few hiccups on the approach, but it was a smooth finish. As the day progressed, he began to show even more and go even further. His second dunk was a two-handed 360, double pump.

That is a long time to be up and a very difficult dunk, but he made it look easy. His approach was smooth, and his technique was impeccable. He rose well above the rim and pulled up for extra measure. He engaged the crowd right after by raising his hand to his ear to hear them chant.

He upped the ante on the next dunk when he gave himself a bounce alley-oop pass for a scorpion stinger. He switched hands and went behind the back for it. He got the crowd on its feet again almost immediately. His confidence was through the roof, and one could tell that he found himself again. He celebrated this dunk with John Cena's "You Can't See Me."

The bounce's precision and the takeoff timing culminated in an electrifying dunk that left the crowd pleased and wanting more. His next dunk before his final act is considered a safety flush, but he added so much character. He threw himself a bounce alley-oop pass before doing a double-pump reverse dunk. He elevated as he was eye-to-eye with the rim when he threw it down.

For his final act, he left his competition in the dust after performing a 360 and then east-bay between the legs. There is a high degree of difficulty in this dunk but he executed it to perfection on his first attempt, making the judges' decision an easy one. He claimed his first ever 3x3 FIBA Dunk Contest.

He had the following to say after this incredible feat:

"Today I’ve won my first 3x3 dunk contest and I am extremely happy about it. I’ve worked hard for this and it means a lot to me because I’m competing with people who travel for this and live from the earnings of this. If I have anything to say to my Ivorians, it would be to believe in your dreams; do what is possible to you and do not hesitate to give thanks to God and Allah."
